IQI is looking for a Sales Manager Benelux (m/f/d) to further expand the business. In this challenging role, you will develop markets in which IQI sees more potential and significantly accelerate the sales of IQI's nutritional pet food ingredients.

What your job includes

  • Proactively acquiring new customers and expanding business with existing customers
  • Proactively organizing and leading international customer and trade fair visits to positively influence the sales process and analyze customer needs, both conceptually and technically
  • Drawing up a Sales Plan (incl. budget and forecast) and implementing a market and account plan
  • Registering and reporting customer visits, quotes, contracts, sales and information regarding competitors and future prospects in the designated systems
  • Managing and reporting the sales pipeline for the relevant markets
  • Organizing various activities in collaboration with the marketing department (e.g. product development, promotions, LinkedIn campaigns)
  • Investing in building and maintaining knowledge of developments in the Pet Food market and building / maintaining of a network in this market
  • Identifying sales and market trends and translating these into commercial policy for the relevant segment (including opportunities and threats)
  • Conducting research into regional situations (political, cultural, economic, local issues, etc.) and situations with (potential) customers and translating these into a customized approach per customer
  • Contributing to researching and implementing product innovations, market approach and improvement projects

What we expect from you

  • A completed education at least at bachelor level, preferably in a commercial field
  • Experience in working with B2B sales in the raw materials market, preferably in the Pet Food market
  • Several years of relevant work experience in a commercial environment, preferably in an (international) company within the Pet Food ingredients sector
  • Experience in working with international (key) accounts
  • Successful in and with consultative selling methods
  • Willingness to be present at least 50% of the time at customers, trade fairs, congresses, etc.
  • Strategic thinking, trade understanding & analytical skills
  • Very smooth communication, both written and verbal in Dutch and English, and preferably good speaking and writing skills in German
