We are looking for a dedicated Utility Engineer (m/f/d) to join our European engineering team in Gersthofen. In this role, you will help develop innovative, reliable and efficient utility solutions for OSI facilities across Europe.     

What your job includes

  • Assuming technical responsibility for utility systems at OSI facilities in Europe, both for new projects and for the improvement of existing systems
  • Working with utility systems including power and electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC systems including NH₃ and other refrigerants, steam, thermal fluid, water supply, compressed air and wastewater treatment systems
  • Developing technical concepts, preparing cost estimates and tender documents, and reviewing supplier proposals from a technical and commercial perspective
  • Reviewing and approving contractor and supplier designs in line with project requirements, applicable standards and internal guidelines
  • Collaborating with process, equipment, architectural and other engineering disciplines during planning, installation and commissioning phases
  • Assessing, optimizing and improving existing utility installations in brownfield environments, with a focus on upgrades, energy efficiency, operational reliability and compliance

What we expect from you

  • A degree in engineering for above mentioned subjects/majors or a related technical discipline from a recognized university or college
  • Solid professional experience with utilities or media supply systems in an industrial environment, preferably within the food industry
  • Experience in technical concept development, tender preparation and bid evaluation.
  • A structured, analytical and independent working style, combined with strong communication and coordination skills
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage, as the position is based in Germany, but NOT a Must
  • Willingness to travel within Europe as required, with travel expected to be up to approximately 40% depending on project needs
  • A valid driver’s license for European countries
