Our plant Smithfield Murray in Manchester is looking for a Commercial Planning Manager (m/f/d).

What your job includes

  •  Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Commercial Team.
  • Produce and maintain commercial reports, sales data and KPI dashboards.
  • Prepare presentations, customer meeting packs and commercial decks.
  • Analyse sales, pricing and margin data to support commercial decision making.
  • Maintain customer price lists, product information and commercial databases.
  • Support forecasting, promotional planning and customer reviews.
  • Coordinate information between Commercial, Planning, Finance, Operations, Technical and Supply Chain teams.
  • Manage customer documentation and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Support new product launches by coordinating commercial information across departments.
  •  Assist with customer tenders, quotations and commercial proposals.
  • Monitor customer performance against agreed KPIs and highlight trends or issues.
  • Produce ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by the Commercial Director.
  • Support preparation for customer meetings by gathering relevant business data.
  • Respond to customer and internal enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, administration and commercial processes.
  • Ensure all information is handled confidentially and in accordance with company procedures.

What we expect from you

  • Business, Commercial or Finance qualification
  • Experience in a commercial support or planning role
  • Experience producing reports and analysing data
  • Food manufacturing experience (desirable)
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness with good analytical and numerical ability
  • Understanding of commercial reporting and KPIs
  • Customer focused and proactive
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise workload
