QA Officer (m/w/d) Ingredients

Our European Quality team Raw Material in Gersthofen is looking for a QA Officer Ingredients.

What your job includes

  • Maintain and Administer supplier approval process that would include maintenance of policies and procedures for current and new ingredient and other suppliers based on OSI and customer(s) standard
  • Maintain and communicate Supplier Expectations Document and purchase specifications for the ingredient category.
  • Maintain a list of approved suppliers for all Europe ingredient suppliers and communicate the list to other functional areas (Procurement, R&D, business units, etc.) for ingredient and other non-meat suppliers.
  • Conduct regular supplier facility audits and reviews with suppliers regarding performance data, and meeting OSI Global, OSI Europe and customer specific expectations.
  • Develop and implement goods entrance controls and monitor data within the supplier performance tracking systems (or ranking) ingredients and distribute reports, alert management of trends.
  • Support and collaborate with plant QA managers and supply chain regarding complaint investigations or product issues, including managing follow up on corrective actions and preventative measures.
  • Supports plant and corporate quality teams in managing emerging quality and food safety risks related to raw material supply.
  • Maintain third-party audit results and supplier status (e.g., food safety, GMP's, customer specified addendums, and new supplier approval process).
  • Provide recommendations to management where insufficient audit or visit results have been identified.
  • Provide feedback to customer(s) about any requests, on-going data in the area of ingredients and other non-meat suppliers.
  • Provides ongoing coaching and training to supply partners.
  • Support in carrying out Internal and External QA audits, traceability exercises

What we expect from you

  • Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition and Hygiene Engineering, or Agricultural Sciences
  • 3-5 years of experience in the implementation of quality assurance systems in the food industry
  • Expert knowledge in ISO 9000ff, FSSC 22000, IFS, BRC
  • Training in internal auditing
  • Language skills: fluent in English (Spanish etc.)
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, food safety, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant areas of responsibility
  • Strong relationship skills to achieve strong partnership and collaboration, both internally and externally
